Northeast Everett locals have affectionately dubbed ’s Schack Art Center’s series of fall events “Schack-toberfest,” and luckily, everything happens just ten minutes from Kushside. Given every national retailer in the area is suddenly stocked with fall decor, how about supporting the little guy by picking up a hand-blown glass pumpkin?
In the studio’s glass pumpkin patch, there are over 300 handcrafted glass pumpkins to choose from, made right in the Schack glass blowing studio. It’s just like picking out a pumpkin at a conventional patch, sans mud, and you won’t have to throw out a rotting orb of fruit meat a month later. If winter squash isn’t for you, harvest-themed paintings, pottery and gifts will be available too. Make a reservation beforehand, and for around $50, you can even make your own customized glass pumpkin!
For those wanting to take home more than a pumpkin, there will be a silent auction featuring pieces from over 30 local artists, or the new “Goblet and Pint Grab”, which featuring tons of hand-blown drinking glasses. This event is accessible to all folks 21 years and up, with an admission fee of $20 for Schack members and $25 for non-members.
But the premiere event at Schack-toberfest is always “Pints and Pumpkins,” when guests gather in the Schack “hot shop” gather to sip brew out of snazzy souvenir glasses and enjoy live music and glass blowing by prominent artist Jesse Kelly.
If you’re looking to kickstart your autumn feels,Kushside recommends starting off with some infused Caramel Apple Chewees by Northwest Cannabis Solutions, or the Washington Apple concentrate cartridge by Phat Panda. Swing through the shop and our friendly budtender will help you find the perfect product!
Schack-toberfest kicks of Thursday September 22nd at 5 pm. For a full breakdown of events, head to the official site.
